Tourism surge in Al Buraimi during National Day holiday

Al Buraimi: Al Buraimi Governorate witnessed increased commercial and tourist activity during the National Day holiday, with large numbers of visitors arriving from within and outside the Sultanate of Oman, which contributed to revitalising the economic and tourism sectors in the governorate.

Hamid bin Rashid Al-Zaidi, Director of the Heritage and Tourism Department in Al-Buraimi Governorate, explained that hotel establishments recorded occupancy rates of 100 percent, noting that other commercial activities witnessed a wide turnout, especially in the sectors of restaurants, cafes, amusement parks and camping sites.

For his part, Salem bin Namshan Al Kaabi, Director of the Events and Awareness Department in Al Buraimi Governorate, confirmed that the National Day celebration event in Al Buraimi Public Park, which is organised by the governorate, contributed to attracting large numbers of visitors from inside and outside the governorate, due to the artistic segments and diverse heritage performances it included.
