Muscat: 2022 AFC Cup champions Seeb Club are set for another major step in their continental journey as they face India’s FC Goa in a decisive playoff on Wednesday for a coveted place in the AFC Champions League group stage.
The match will be held at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa, kicking off at 6pm (Oman time). A victory would make Seeb the first Omani club to reach the group stage of the competition under its new format.
Led by experienced Romanian coach Valeriu Tița, the Muscat-based team has been in Goa since Saturday, adjusting to local conditions and refining their tactical approach. Tița has placed particular focus on attacking efficiency, urging his forwards to take their chances and avoid wasteful finishing.
