Muscat: Oman Meteorology has confirmed that Tropical Storm Shakti in the northwest Arabian Sea has weakened and been downgraded to a deep tropical depression.
Oman Meteorology said in a statement :"The latest weather updates and analysis of the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Center show that Tropical Storm Shakti has been downgraded from a deep tropical depression in the northwest Arabian Sea and is beginning to deviate southward before heading eastward toward the central Arabian Sea, away from the coast of the Sultanate of Oman. The tropical depression continues to gradually weaken. Its center is currently approximately 180 km from the coast of South Al Sharqiyah Governorate."
