Muscat: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the Indian Community Festival (ICF) that be held on October 23, 24, and 25 at Al Amerat Park, Muscat.
At the event Lulu Group Chairman M A Yusuff Ali, Gulf engineering founder chairman Dr. P. Muhammed Ali, and prominent personalities from official circles in Oman will be the distinguished guests at the event.
The much-awaited art and cultural gathering of the Indian expatriate community in Omanis being organised by Kerala Wing, the Malayalam linguistic wing of Indian Social Club Oman. The event — which was earlier known as Keralotsavam the organising committee announced in a press conference.
The organisers announced that the event will feature around 700 artists, including both expatriates and locals, showcasing traditional Omani dance forms as well as various art forms from different linguistic regions of India. The programmes are being organized under the theme “Be Humane, Let Peace Prevails”, emphasising the message of world peace.
Shahi Foods and spices is the sponsor. Prominent personalities from Kerala will attend as special guests, and artists from both India and Oman will take part in the program. The festival, which celebrates India’s rich diversity and cultural heritage, will feature a wide variety of Indian art forms alongside traditional Omani performances. One of the main attractions this year will be a musical concert by ‘Kanal’, a popular music band from Kerala.
Entry to the three-day science exhibition will be free of charge.
