Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the Berlin Global Dialogue Conference, which focuses on global prosperity, clean energy transitions, and climate change.
The conference spans three days. During one of the sessions, His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, presented Oman’s strategy to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
He highlighted national efforts to develop the clean energy sector, particularly in the production of green hydrogen, in alignment with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
Speakers at the session also addressed current geopolitical developments and their impact on the global path toward achieving sustainable development goals. They emphasized the importance of international cooperation and strengthening partnerships to build a more sustainable and prosperous future.
