In line with its commitment to sustainability and community engagement, the Preparatory Studies Center and the Continuous Education and Community Service Center at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences – Al Mussanah organized a successful tree planting campaign in Al Abyadh village, Wilayat Nakhal, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
The initiative was held in cooperation with the Environment Department in South Al Batinah Governorate, Be’ah Company, the Shabab Al Abyad Voluntary Team, and several local schools, with active participation from community leaders and residents. The campaign coincided with the celebration of Omani Agriculture Day.
Staff and students from the Preparatory Studies Center took part in planting trees and greenery, supporting Oman Vision 2040 toward a more sustainable future. The campaign began at 8:30 a.m. from the university campus and concluded by midday.
Beyond planting trees, the campaign served as an opportunity to instill values of environmental responsibility and community participation among students, faculty, and local residents.
This initiative contributed to supporting national environmental efforts and strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and the local community. It also provided participants with hands-on experience in applying sustainability practices, reinforcing their sense of responsibility and active citizenship toward protecting the environment and serving society.
