Oman Customs thwarts major E-smoking products smuggling attempt in Al Buraimi

Muscat: The Customs Administration at the Haddf border post in Al Buraimi Governorate has successfully thwarted a significant smuggling attempt. Authorities intercepted a large quantity of electronic smoking products (vapes, e-cigarettes) that were professionally concealed within a four-wheel-drive vehicle.

The operation came after customs officers discovered the contraband hidden within professionally constructed compartments of the vehicle. This successful seizure is part of Oman Customs’ ongoing efforts to reinforce border control measures and protect society from unauthorized goods.

In its statement, Oman Customs emphasized that preventing such smuggling attempts is crucial because they can impact public health and directly violate existing regulations concerning the import and sale of these products.

Authorities confirmed that legal action has been taken against the offenders. They also stressed the vital importance of cooperation between security agencies and the community in successfully combating illegal trade and practices across the Sultanate's borders.
