Ibra and Al Mudhaibi Health Centres 85% complete

Ibra: The completion rate for Ibra and Al Mudhaibi Health Centres in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, which are expected to be completed by the end of March 2026, has reached approximately 85 percent. This is part of the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Health to boost primary healthcare services and provide integrated health facilities that meet the needs of citizens in the wilayats of the governorate.

Eng. Yousuf Yaqoob Ambuali, Director General of Projects and Engineering Services at the Ministry of Health, stated in a comment to Oman News Agency (ONA): "The work on both projects is proceeding according to the approved timeline and at a good pace, with adherence to the approved technical specifications and health standards." He affirmed the Ministry's keenness on continuous follow-up to ensure the readiness of both projects to provide integrated health services upon completion.

He added that the Ibra Health Centre is being built on a land area of 39,692 square metres, with a built-up area of 13,770 square metres, at a total cost of OMR1,157,588. Meanwhile, Al Mudhaibi Health Centre is being constructed on a land area of 24,827 square metres, with a built-up area of 1,458.90 square metres, at a total cost of OMR1,120,000.

He explained that both projects consist of an integrated package of health and service facilities, including 14 outpatient clinics, a dental clinic room, a physical therapy room, an X-ray room, two triage rooms, a treatment hall with a capacity of two beds, an observation hall with a capacity of two beds, in addition to the pharmacy, laboratory, sterilisation room, meeting hall, administrative offices, two storage rooms, as well as supporting facilities that include rooms for electricity, networks, cleaning, and public services, and equipped waiting halls to serve visitors.

He emphasised that the implementation of the Al Mudhaibi and Ibra Health Centres projects, upon their completion, will contribute to improving the level of health services provided to the residents of North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, particularly the wilayats of Ibra and Al Mudhaibi, and facilitate their access to primary healthcare services. This is in addition to alleviating pressure on existing health institutions, aligning with the objectives of "Oman Vision 2040" in developing the health sector.
