ROP remains firmly committed to fulfilling its national mission: Inspector General of Police and Customs

Muscat: On the occasion of the Royal Oman Police Day, Lt. Gen. Hassan Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, affirmed that the Royal Oman Police (ROP) remains firmly committed to fulfilling its national mission with a high sense of responsibility, guided by a clear vision and an institutional approach that prioritizes the security and stability of the nation.

This commitment reflects a balanced response to present challenges while anticipating future requirements, within a framework that upholds the rule of law and community service, in line with the Sultanate of Oman’s vision of fostering a secure and attractive environment for investment.

He noted that, based on this approach, the Royal Oman Police continues to serve as a fundamental pillar of the state system, working to safeguard national achievements, strengthen stability, support comprehensive development, and reinforce trust and partnership with the community.

The Inspector General emphasized that the Royal Oman Police adopts the concept of comprehensive security as an integrated philosophy of work, combining firmness in the enforcement of the law with humanity in dealing with the public. This approach places strong emphasis on prevention and on enhancing community partnership as a cornerstone of sustainable security.

He further highlighted that ROP personnel remain the foundation of this system and the source of its strength, through their dedication, discipline, and professional awareness. The Royal Oman Police continues to invest in its national cadres through training and development programs aimed at enhancing readiness and raising performance levels.

In light of rapid developments and changes, Lt. Gen. Hassan Mohsin Al Shuraiqi stressed the Royal Oman Police’s commitment to employing modern technologies and advancing smart transformation to support decision-making, ensure rapid response, and improve service quality, within a responsible framework that preserves national values and identity.

On the occasion of Police Day, he expressed his appreciation and pride in all members of the Royal Oman Police, affirming to the people of this dear nation that the police will remain close, present, and vigilant, working in conscious partnership with society and performing their duties with confidence and responsibility.

He concluded by renewing the pledge to continue serving with utmost sincerity and dedication, recalling the directives of the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq—may God protect and preserve him—and praying to Almighty God to safeguard Oman, sustain its blessings of security and stability, and bless the efforts of its loyal sons.
