Oman to host Fibre Connect Council MENA Conference & Expo

Muscat: Under the patronage of His Highness Dr. Adham bin Turki Al Said, the Sultanate of Oman will host the 15th Edition of the Fibre Connect Council MENA Conference & Expo, on February 2–3, 2026, in Muscat.

The patronage underscores the strategic importance of digital infrastructure and fibre connectivity in supporting Oman’s Vision 2040 and the nation’s long-term digital transformation agenda.

The two-day flagship event will explore critical topics shaping the broadband ecosystem, including next-generation fiber networks, open-access models, data centers, smart cities, and the role of fiber in enabling digital economies and inclusive growth.

The conference will bring together 14 leading national and international companies specializing in fiber, artificial intelligence, and communications technologies, along with more than 20 expert speakers and delegates from over 20 countries across the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. An accompanying exhibition will showcase the latest innovations in fiber networks, 5G, IoT, data centers, and digital infrastructure.

Held under the theme “Fiber Empowered Futures: Connecting Intelligence, Infrastructure, and Innovation,” the conference will highlight national and regional milestones in digital transformation across MENA, emphasizing fiber as the foundation for future-ready economies. The program will feature keynote addresses, expert-led panel discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions to foster dialogue, collaboration, and strategic partnerships.

Dr. Alaa’ Jasim, President of Fibre Connect Council MENA, said: "This year’s edition continues our long-standing legacy of providing a collaborative platform where industry leaders and policymakers can exchange insights, address challenges, and explore opportunities that will define the next phase of connectivity in the MENA region."

He added, "Hosting the event in Muscat reflects Oman’s rapidly growing digital infrastructure and its alignment with Vision 2040, which places digital transformation, advanced connectivity, and knowledge-based economic growth at the core of national development."

Over the past 15 editions, the Fiber Connect Council MENA Annual Conference has shaped regional dialogue on fiber deployment, regulatory frameworks, and technological innovation. This year, the Council will unveil a new regional study on the evolving digital infrastructure landscape in MENA, highlighting fiber as a foundational element for AI-ready digital infrastructure and demonstrating the shift from connectivity expansion to compute density, driven by investments in hyperscale and sovereign data centers, subsea cable systems, and fiber-deep networks.

The 15th edition is supported by 14 major national and international sponsors. Oman Broadband and Ooredoo are Platinum Sponsors, Omantel serves as Technology Partner, and Earthlink Telecommunications is the Strategic Partner. Additional sponsorship reflects strong industry commitment to advancing fiber infrastructure across the region.

The conference exhibition will provide a dedicated networking platform for participants, enabling direct engagement with companies showcasing the latest technologies and solutions shaping the future of connectivity.
