Labour law, cheque offences top Oman’s Public Prosecution cases

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman’s Public Prosecution has identified Labour Law violations as the most frequent type of offence, with 22,309 cases recorded in the latest reporting period. This was followed by cheque-related crimes, which accounted for 10,482 cases, and Foreigners' Residence Law violations with 9,493 cases. 

The number of cases submitted electronically reached 54,276, representing a 19.2 per cent increase compared to 2024. This digital expansion is further reflected in the Government Digital Transformation Index, where the Public Prosecution achieved a score of 82 per cent—a 3 per cent improvement over previous results.
