
Under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Masoud bin Said Al Hashmi, Governor of South Al Batinah, the University of Technology and Applied Sciences – Al Mussanah organized the Alumni Forum 2026 on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, at Barceló Resort, Al Mussanah, in the presence of the Assistant Vice-Chancellor of the branch and his deputies. The event reflected the strong relationship between the university and its graduates, reaffirming its commitment to sustained engagement with alumni as active partners in development and nation-building.
The forum celebrated alumni achievements and highlighted their diverse professional journeys, while creating new avenues for networking and the exchange of ideas. The program featured official remarks, a visual presentation titled “Alumni Journey,” musical and interactive segments, and a showcase titled “Stories Worth the Spotlight” linked to the Alumni Excellence Award.
The event also included the recognition of finalists of the Alumni Excellence Award, launched during the previous edition of the forum, which honors graduates with distinguished accomplishments across various fields. In this edition, 10 outstanding alumni were recognized in the areas of innovation and invention, professional excellence, entrepreneurship, and culture and arts.
The Alumni Forum reinforces the strategic partnership between the university and its graduates, leveraging their professional expertise to support academic programs and student initiatives, and to enhance alignment between educational outcomes and labor market needs. It also positions alumni as inspiring role models for current students, reflecting the university’s impact in preparing competitive national talents capable of excellence and sustainable success.
Dr. Nasser bin Salem Al Bimani, Assistant Vice-Chancellor of the branch, affirmed that the Alumni Forum 2026 represents a strategic milestone in strengthening long-term engagement with graduates. He emphasized that the relationship with alumni extends beyond graduation through sustainable partnerships built on active communication and maximizing impact across development sectors. He added that alumni remain true ambassadors of the university’s mission and key partners in advancing its future vision and institutional presence.
