Muscat: Seasonal influenza viruses circulate in Oman throughout the year, with activity typically beginning to increase as early as September and potentially continuing until mid-May, the Ministry of Health said.
The ministry noted that Oman’s subtropical climate means seasonal influenza viruses can remain present year-round.
However, influenza activity generally becomes more pronounced from September, with transmission potentially continuing through mid-May.
The Ministry of Health shared the information as part of its seasonal influenza awareness campaign, urging the public to remain aware of the timing and spread of flu viruses.
