
Oman Climate Week 2026 returns for its second edition from 14–16 September 2026 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC), bringing together government leaders, policymakers, industry, investors, researchers, innovators and sustainability experts for three days dedicated to advancing climate action and accelerating the transition towards a resilient, low-carbon future.
Hosted and organized by Oman's Environment Authority and the elements and activities organised by OITE Global, Oman Climate Week provides a national platform for dialogue, collaboration and practical action across some of the most pressing environmental and climate priorities facing Oman and the wider region.
The three-day programme will connect policy with industry, science, investment and innovation, addressing areas including climate technologies, circular economy, clean energy, climate finance, sustainable cities, water and environmental sustainability, smart mobility and green investment.
With the road to COP31 forming an important part of the dialogue, Oman Climate Week will also provide a platform for discussions around national and regional climate priorities, implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), international cooperation and the implementation of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
Oman Climate Week 2026 will feature:
1. Climate Solutions Exhibition - A three-day showcase of climate technologies, environmental innovations and sustainable solutions from government entities, private-sector organizations, innovators and solution providers, creating opportunities for partnerships, investment and implementation.
2. Oman Climate Summit / Strategic Conference - Three days of high-level dialogue connecting global climate priorities with national and regional implementation, featuring policymakers, industry leaders, experts and key decision-makers.
3. Ecothon Oman Climate Innovation Hackathon - A three-day innovation challenge bringing together multidisciplinary teams to develop practical solutions to real climate and sustainability challenges, supported by mentors and experts before culminating in final pitches, judging and awards.
4. International Conference on Sustainable Waste Management (SWM) - A scientific conference focused on the circular economy, resource recovery and the transition from conventional waste management towards solutions capable of creating environmental and economic value.
5. Renewable Energy and Climate Change Conference (RECC) - Bringing together researchers, decision-makers and industry leaders to explore renewable energy, green hydrogen, climate resilience and emerging technologies.
6. Specialized Workshops & Masterclasses - Practical, hands-on sessions with practitioners covering climate finance, carbon markets, green hydrogen, industrial digital twins, energy efficiency, ESG reporting, adaptation planning and sustainable urban development.
7. Article 6 Implementation Event - A dedicated session examining implementation of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, regional cooperation and the development of carbon markets.
8. Women in Climate Forum - A dedicated platform highlighting women's leadership in climate action and sustainability across energy, environmental management, research, policy and community initiatives.
9. B2B and B2G Matchmaking - Pre-scheduled business meetings connecting organizations seeking environmental and climate solutions with technology providers, investors, government counterparts and potential partners.
10. Youth for Climate - A dedicated platform placing young people at the heart of climate dialogue and action, connecting emerging climate leaders, advocates, innovators and changemakers from Oman and beyond.
11. CEO Panel - New for 2026 - chief executives shaping Oman's energy transition come together on one stage to discuss the business case for climate action.
12. Deals Hub - New for 2026 - a dedicated space for signing MOUs, offtake agreements and partnerships live during the event.
13. Awards - New for 2026 - recognizing the projects and people moving Oman's climate goals from paper to practice.
The programme will begin on 14 September with the official opening ceremony, keynote addresses and high-level discussions, alongside the launch of the Climate Solutions Exhibition and Ecothon. The second day will place particular emphasis on climate finance and sustainable cities, while the final day will explore climate resilience and nature-based solutions, alongside the Ecothon final pitches and closing activities.
Across the three days, discussions will cover topics ranging from mobilizing climate finance and implementing Oman's NDCs to building climate-smart cities, renewable energy, water security, sustainable waste management, air quality, nature-based solutions and climate resilience.
Oman Climate Week 2026 is designed not only as a platform for dialogue, but as a meeting point where policy, science, technology, investment and entrepreneurship can translate climate ambition into practical action.
