40 trainees graduate from employment-linked replacement programme in water Sector

Muscat --- The Authority for Public Services Regulation today celebrated the graduation of 40 trainees from the second cohort of the Employment-Linked Replacement Programme, which was implemented through the Knowledge Network Academy in cooperation with Nama Water Services Company.

The graduation ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Talib Al Hinai, Chairman of the Authority for Public Services Regulation and Head of the Governance Committee for Operation and Local Value Added in the Public Services Sector. The programme aims to qualify national competencies and equip them with the professional skills and knowledge required to work in the water sector, through a training pathway directly linked to actual job opportunities, culminating in the graduates' appointment to permanent employment contracts with Nama Water Services Company.

The programme embodies a practical approach to linking training with employment by aligning qualification programmes with labour market needs and the requirements of technical and specialized positions, thereby enhancing the readiness of Omani cadres to enter the sector and increasing their contribution to the water services operation and management system.

The programme also forms part of efforts aimed at strengthening Omanisation and developing local content in the public services sector, through investing in national human capital, expanding sustainable employment opportunities, and building competencies capable of keeping pace with the sector's operational and technical requirements.
