Muscat: The “Live Oman” exhibition opened today at the “Future Store” on Oxford Street in London, presenting the Sultanate of Oman as a destination for living and investment and offering visitors and investors an opportunity to explore its future cities, urban development projects and quality-of-life offerings.
The exhibition was inaugurated under the patronage of Dr. Khalfan bin Said Al Shaeili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning.
The exhibition transforms its location on one of London’s prominent streets into a platform for direct engagement with those interested in living and investing in Oman. Through visual experiences and meetings with participating entities, it showcases residential and employment options, as well as urban communities being developed to meet the needs and aspirations of residents.
The official programme began with a welcoming presentation and a visual overview of Oman, followed by remarks from Dr. Khalfan bin Said Al Shaeili, who said that the momentum witnessed by Oman’s real estate sector is based on a strategic vision that promotes quality of life and effective partnerships between the government and private sector to develop sustainable and smart cities and communities.
He noted that Oman’s presence in London is centred on three interconnected themes: “Invest in Oman, Discover Oman and Live Oman.”
The Minister highlighted the economic and investment opportunities offered by projects such as Sultan Haitham City, Al Thuraya City, Al Khuwair Downtown and Al Jabal Al Aali, noting that work on these projects is already underway.
He explained that promoting these projects goes beyond presenting property ownership opportunities to highlighting Oman’s broader quality-of-life advantages, including its young population, rich cultural heritage and diverse natural environment, as well as its security, stability and strategic location connecting Asian, European and African markets.
Dr. Al Shaeili also highlighted the role of legislative development and streamlined ownership and investment procedures in enhancing the attractiveness of Oman’s real estate sector, noting the interest shown by investors of various nationalities in the projects on display.
He further referred to the benefits of long-term residency for investors and their families as a factor supporting the stability of those seeking to live and invest in Oman.
The event featured a comprehensive presentation on Oman’s key indicators and projects, followed by presentations by Al Mouj Muscat, Dar Al Amouj International for Perfumes, Vodafone Oman and the British-Omani Society, before the exhibition tour began.
During the tour, visitors explored projects in Sultan Haitham City, with particular attention given to the Joud and Yamalprojects, alongside other developments including January Residences, Al Wafa District and Wadi Zaha.
The tour also featured Tathmeer Hills in Al Thuraya City, Opal in Muscat Hills and Muscat Bay, showcasing a range of residential and investment opportunities brought together at the exhibition.
Omani students residing in London also participated in the exhibition, giving visitors an opportunity to learn about Oman through its people alongside the projects on display. The Royal Oman Police, Oman Air, Sohar International Bank, Al Mouj Muscat, and a number of developers and other entities also participated, providing information and answering visitors’ questions about residency, services and related projects.
The exhibition attracted significant interest from investors, diplomats, decision-makers and individuals with an affinity for Oman, reflecting the strategic opportunities and prospects offered by the Sultanate.
The “Live Oman” exhibition contributes to the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 by promoting quality of life, developing sustainable urban communities and diversifying investment opportunities. Direct meetings with investors also provide opportunities to explore international partnerships and introduce Oman’s urban projects and economic opportunities, supported by advanced infrastructure and a strategic location connecting the country with global markets.
The exhibition will continue until October 4, 2026, providing the public and investors with an opportunity to explore the experience of living in Oman and engage with participating entities regarding available opportunities.
