Supreme Judiciary Council trains 24 assistant judges to help them join judicial system

Muscat: Acting in cooperation with the Higher Judicial Institute, the Supreme Judiciary Council is conducting a programme of intensive training for 24 assistant judges in preparation for their integration in the official judicial system.

The programme aims to attract national talents and groom a generation of specialized judicial personnel. The course comprises comprehensive academic, legal and applied training that is designed to enhance the trainees’ legal skills. It includes practical training on judicial procedures and ethics, with the prime objective of raising the professional competence and legal knowledge of the judges to prepare them for judicial work.

The training programme constitutes part of the Supreme Judicial Council’s operational plan. It also affirms the Council's keenness to improve judicial performance, achieve its goals of institutional development and realize its vision to establish a system of swift justice that properly upholds the rule of law.
