292 more COVID-19 cases, one more death registered in Oman: Health Ministry

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on Tuesday one more COVID-19 death besides the registration of 292 new coronavirus cases in the Sultanate.
The latest death was that of a resident aged 34, who had been suffering from coronavirus disease, the Ministry said.
The Ministry extended its condolences to the bereaved family, praying to the Almighty Allah to have mercy on the deceased’s soul.
119 of the new cases are Omanis and 173 cases for non-Omanis.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Sultanate to 5,671, in addition to 27 death cases.
The Ministry also pointed out that 1,574 cases have recovered.
MOH calls upon all to adhere to the health isolation procedures (in a room with own toilet), as the isolated person is served from outside the room as per the guidelines.
The Ministry also advises citizens and residents to keep on washing hands with water and soap, as well as avoiding touching the face, nose, mouth and eyes, and following the healthy habits when coughing and sneezing.
Full adherence to social distancing instructions issued by the Supreme Committee and the MOH is further required.
