Scare on Air India Express flight, passenger tries to enter cockpit

New Delhi: A Bengaluru-Varanasi Air India Express flight experienced a security scare on Monday when a passenger allegedly attempted to enter the cockpit while searching for the toilet.

Confirming the incident, the airline said that security protocols were not compromised and the matter has been reported to the concerned authorities.

An Air India Express spokesperson says, “We are aware of media reports regarding an incident on one of our flights to Varanasi, where a passenger approached the cockpit entry area while looking for the lavatory. We reaffirm that robust safety and security protocols are in place and were not compromised. The matter was reported to the relevant authorities on landing and is currently under investigation.”
