First edition of Itlaq Accelerator Programme concludes

Muscat: The activities of the first edition of Itlaq Accelerator Programme concluded on Wednesday in Muscat Governorate. The programme aimed to support the transformation of entrepreneurial ideas into promising startups, thereby enhancing the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Sultanate of Oman.

The closing ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Saif Abdullah Al Haddabi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation for Research and Innovation.

The Itlaq Accelerator Programme is the result of joint cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and Sultan Qaboos University to support startup projects in a number of vital sectors. These include food, energy, environment, water, information technology, communications, health, and biotechnology.

The programme provides a supportive and stimulating environment that contributes to enhancing creativity, honing skills, and developing ideas, turning them into tangible reality through integrated technical and technological support, with a focus on achieving rapid growth and market expansion, along with specialised programmes that comprehensively address the needs of participants.

The final day featured the presentation of eight innovative projects to a number of investors, aiming to support the transformation of these entrepreneurial ideas into promising startups, which contributes to strengthening the innovation and entrepreneurship system in the Sultanate of Oman.
