
Muscat: Sheikh Abdulmalik Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, received on Wednesday at the Council’s headquarters Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and his accompanying delegation, as part of his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
The Chairman of the State Council underlined the importance of such visits in enhancing bilateral relations and exchanging views on matters of mutual interest, which reflect the keenness of the two countries to promote bonds of cooperation and joint coordination between them.
During the meeting, Sheikh Al Khalili reviewed the role undertaken by the State Council within its legislative competencies and its contributions to studying legal, economic and developmental topics supporting the march of national renaissance, in alignment with the goals of “Oman Vision 2040.”
In his turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan expressed his country’s eagerness to enhance bilateral cooperation with the Sultanate of Oman and to advance the existing relations towards further development and prosperity, serving the mutual interests of the two countries.
The meeting was attended by some members of the State Council and the Secretary-General.
