First Round of the Free-Style Drifting Championship Concludes at the Oman Automobile Association

Muscat: The first round of the Free-Style Drifting Championship concluded on Friday, October 31, 2025, at the Oman Automobile Association, with a large crowd filling the stands of the Muscat Drift Arena. The event witnessed intense and thrilling competition among more than fifty participants from both Oman and abroad, who delivered spectacular and professional performances in the art of free-style drifting — one of the most popular forms of motorsport in the region.

The opening round attracted an exceptional audience from various segments of society, including families, children, and women, creating a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere that highlighted the growing popularity of this motorsport in Oman and its ability to attract automotive enthusiasts from across the Sultanate.

The championship concluded with the crowning of the top five winners in two categories — Sedan (Rear-Wheel Drive) and 4x4. In the Sedan category, Manea Al Ajmi from Oman claimed first place, followed by Ayoub Al Shreqi from Oman in second, Qais Al Qarini from Oman in third, Abdullah Quroa from the UAE in fourth, and Mazen Al Kharoosi from Oman in fifth.

In the 4x4 category, Mohammed Al Junaibi from the UAE secured first place, followed by ShihabHamed from Oman in second, Hamad Al Balushi from the UAE in third, Ahmed Al Shamsi from the UAE in fourth, and Ya’arub Al Hinai from Oman in fifth place.

The Free-Style Drifting Championship is considered one of the most exciting and distinctive motorsport events held in Oman. With its unique Gulf identity, it continues to attract top professionals and enthusiasts from across the region.
