
Muscat: The Institutional Partnership Programme organised by the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority commenced its activities on Sunday in Muscat.
The programme involves the participation of more than 80 entities from civil, military, and security units of the State Administrative Apparatus, along with government companies under the Authority’s oversight, through nine specialised workshops.
The programme’s inauguration was held under the auspices of Zahra bint Mohammed Ridha Al Lawati, Deputy Chairperson of the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority for Oversight on Bodies, Investments, and Companies, with the attendance of a number of officials and specialists from various government entities.
The workshops, which will last for four days, cover a number of axes aimed at developing the capabilities of participants in the areas of oversight of contracts and procurement, auditing of development projects, detection of financial and administrative violations, enhancing internal control and risk management systems and reviewing institutional experiences in government excellence, governance of economic projects in governorates, and financial analysis.
Internal audit evidence
The programme also includes specialised axes on internal audit evidence, allowing participants to learn about its concept and importance, develop skills in collecting and analysing evidence, and train on documenting it according to accredited professional standards.
The organisation of this programme is part of the authority’s commitment to raising the efficiency of national cadres, promoting the principles of governance and transparency and applying best practices in financial and administrative oversight.
The event also aims to strengthen institutional partnership among various entities, thereby contributing to improving the quality of institutional performance and supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals.
