349 educators in Dhofar graduate from Specialised Institute for Professional Training of Teachers

Salalah: The Directorate General of Education in Dhofar Governorate celebrated today the awarding of certificates to graduates of the specialized training programs for the seventh cohort of the Specialised Institute for Professional Training of Teachers.

The ceremony was held at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Compound for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Ali Al-Daree, Wali of Sadah.

Hamid Bakhit Al Mashaikhi, Assistant Director General of Education in Dhofar Governorate for Educational Affairs, delivered a speech in which he affirmed the Ministry of Education's commitment to establishing a comprehensive educational renaissance through the Specialized Institute and its relentless pursuit to qualify teaching staff through specialized programs that foster a spirit of innovation, stimulate new ideas, and support the educational system.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Said Al Amri, Head of the Training Centre, indicated that celebrating the graduation of this cohort of educational and administrative cadres reflects the Sultanate of Oman's steadfast commitment to developing the educational and professional system through the effective partnership between the Specialized Institute for Professional Training of Teachers, the Directorates General of Education, and the teams responsible for preparing the programs. The total number of graduates this year reached 349 male and female, out of a total of 6,063 graduates across the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.

The Specialized Institute for Professional Training of Teachers aims to develop the quality of curricula and methods used in the educational process within classrooms, contribute to preparing and qualifying a number of motivated and professionally committed male and female teachers, ensuring their active role in effecting change and development in the educational process.

It also seeks to build qualified educational cadres characterized by professionalism across various schools and educational stages. Additionally, it aims to prepare applied research focusing on the educational system, ensuring the alignment of future development projects with local community requirements and improving teacher preparation in accordance with global standards.
