
Nizwa: The “King Bike” freestyle motorcycle show kicked off on Thursday evening in the Wilayat of Nizwa as part of the activities accompanying the winter season in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. The event comes within the governorate’s efforts to diversify tourism and sports activities, enhance community participation, and invest local resources in supporting the local economy.
The event is organized by Al Dakhiliyah Governorate in cooperation with the Nizwa Motorcycle Club, along with a number of government and private institutions. It features the participation of an elite group of professional motorcycle stunt performers from within and outside the Sultanate of Oman, reflecting the governorate’s growing presence on the map of quality events and its ability to attract specialized activities with youth and tourism dimensions.
The two-day event includes professional freestyle motorcycle performances, in addition to various artistic and entertainment segments, amid a large public turnout. This contributes to revitalizing tourism movement and stimulating economic activity in the governorate.
Ahmed bin Salem Al-Toubi, Director General of Administrative and Financial Affairs in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, said that organizing the event aligns with the governorate’s vision to enhance Al Dakhiliyah’s position as a destination for diverse sports and tourism events, and to support youth initiatives that help stimulate the local economy.
He added that Al Dakhiliyah Governorate places great importance on organizing and hosting high-quality events that complement the historical and tourist attractions found across its wilayats, and that contribute to diversifying the tourism product and creating economic opportunities that support small and medium enterprises.
For his part, Ahmed bin Salem Al-Ismaili, President of the Nizwa Motorcycle Club, affirmed that organizing the “King Bike” event aims to promote motorcycle sports culture in an organized and safe manner, and to provide professional platforms that enable Omani youth to showcase their skills in freestyle performances.
