Sohar: The Municipal Council of North Al Batinah Governorate on Tuesday held a meeting during which it discussed development and service projects and related requests from the governorate's wilayats.
The Municipal Council discussed the development of Al Murair Park in the Wilayat of Shinas, a proposal to establish a service area in the village of Mashin in the Wilayat of Al Khabourah and an initiative to plant drought resistant trees to enhance environmental sustainability.
The meeting, chaired by North Al Batinah Governor Mohammed Suleiman Al Kindi, reviewed recommendations made by the Governorate Development Committee and the Social Affairs Committee on means of unifying efforts among the committees concerned to achieve the objectives of the next stage of development.
The Municipal Council also discussed replies from government departments about recommendations that the Council proposed for the development of the Governorate.
