Muscat--- His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued Royal Decree No. (37/2026) on establishing the Youth Centre and promulgating its system.
Article (1) states that a centre shall be established under the name “The Youth Centre”. The Centre shall have legal personality, enjoy financial and administrative autonomy and be supervised by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, in accordance with the provisions of the system attached to the decree.
Article (2) stipulates that all allocations, rights, obligations and origins relevant to the Youth Centre Department in the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth shall be transferred to the Youth Centre.
Article (3) states that the amendment of the attached system of the Youth Centre shall be made by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, following the approval of the Council of Ministers.
Article (4)stipulates that the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Youth Centre shall issue the regulations and decisions necessary for the implementation of the provisions of this decree following the approval of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth.
Article (5) cancels all that contradicts this decree and the attached system or contravenes their provisions.
Article (6) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
