Oman likely to be affected by a low-pressure trough

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman likely to be affected by a trough of low pressure from Tuesday, March 3, 2026 till Thursday, March 5,2026. 

Oman Meteorology said in a statement :"The latest weather maps indicate that the Sultanate of Oman will be affected by a trough of low pressure. Cloud cover is expected to increase tomorrow, potentially bringing scattered light rain to Musandam Governorate, the Western Al Hajar Mountains, and the coasts of Dhofar Governorate. "

" Cloud cover is expected to continue to develop on Wednesday and Thursday over Musandam Governorate, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, parts of Muscat Governorate, the Al Hajar Mountains, and the Arabian Sea coast, with scattered rainfall expected, " the statement added.
