HM the Sultan, Egyptian President discuss regional developments

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Abdul Fattahel Sisiof the Arab Republic of Egypt today discussed ongoing regional developments and their political and economic ramifications.

During a telephone conversation, the two leaders stressed the importance of intensifying political and diplomatic efforts to steer U.S.-Iranian negotiations toward a resolution of the crisis, achieve de-escalation, and ensure the security of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

This, they affirmed, would support the consolidation of international peace and security in accordance with the principles of the international law.
