
Muscat: The Omani Hajj Mission for 1447 AH (2026) recently held a press conference to detail organizational plans, development initiatives, and services for the current season. His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs and Head of the Omani Hajj Mission announced that more than 42,000 applications were submitted, with 14,000 applicants meeting the eligibility criteria. Those accepted have completed all travel procedures, comprising 13,560 Omani citizens and 440 residents.

Air Travel Efficiency: The "Airlines Initiative" has successfully reduced airfare costs compared to the previous season.
New Destinations: Taif Airport has been added as an available destination for Omani pilgrims.
Increased Access: Companies now have the option to organize departures through Sohar Airport.
New Headquarters: The mission has relocated its headquarters to a position near the holy sites to improve service delivery and accessibility for pilgrims.
