Smuggling attempt thwarted as driver arrested with narcotics in Dhofar

Muscat: The Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Department of the Dhofar Governorate Police Command, in coordination with the Salalah Special Tasks Police Command, successfully intercepted and arrested a driver attempting to transport a quantity of narcotics and psychotropic substances, said the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

The suspect was detained during the joint security operation while moving the illegal shipment through the governorate. ROP confirmed that the necessary legal procedures are currently being completed against the individual.
