
Muscat: The Embassy of India in Muscat has announced revised fees for passport and consular services, with the new rates coming into effect from July 1, 2026.
Under the revised fee structure, the total cost of reissuing a 36-page ordinary passport has been set at OMR 53.750, while a 60-page jumbo passport will cost OMR 72.600.
The fee for reissuing a lost or damaged 36-page passport has been fixed at OMR 100.700, while applicants seeking a replacement 60-page passport in similar circumstances will pay OMR 119.500.
For minor applicants below 18 years of age, a fresh passport for a newborn child up to eight years of age will cost OMR 37.300, while the reissue of a 36-page passport has been priced at OMR 40.600. A 10-year validity passport for applicants aged 15 to 18 years will cost OMR 53.750. Reissuing a lost or damaged passport for minors will cost OMR 87.600.
The Embassy has also revised charges for Tatkal (expedited) passport services. A Tatkal reissue of a 36-page passport will cost OMR 100.700, while a 60-page passport will cost OMR 119.500. Replacing lost or damaged passports under the Tatkal scheme will cost OMR 147.650 for a 36-page passport and OMR 166.500 for a 60-page passport.
For minors applying under the Tatkal category, a 36-page passport will cost OMR 87.600, while the fee for replacing a lost or damaged passport has been fixed at OMR 134.500.
The fee for an Emergency Certificate has been set at OMR 12.500, while an Identity Certificate will cost OMR 25.600. Miscellaneous consular services, including Police Clearance Certificates (PCC), Global Entry Program (GEP) verification, Surrender Certificates and other passport-related certificates, will be charged OMR 21.800.
The Embassy clarified that, in addition to the Government of India service fee, applicants are required to pay an Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF) fee of OMR 0.800 and an Outsourced Service Provider (OSP) fee of OMR 6.000, which are included in the total charges.
