Muscat: Muscat Municipality, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, has announced the temporary closure of Al Jabal Street (Aqabat Al Amerat) for motorists travelling from Al Amerat towards Bausher to facilitate ongoing infrastructure maintenance works.
The closure is part of a project to complete the removal of loose rocks from the roadside protection barriers, ensuring the safety of road users and supporting the continued maintenance of the road network.
According to the municipality, the full closure of the affected carriageway will be in effect from the night of Thursday, 30 July 2026, until the night of Saturday, 1 August 2026.
Motorists are advised to follow traffic diversions, adhere to road signs, and cooperate with traffic authorities to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of all road users during the maintenance period.
