Royal Air Force of Oman supports response to stranded ship incident

Muscat: The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) is conducting transport, deployment and reconnaissance flights in support of specialised teams responding to the stranded ship incident.

The operations are being carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and the Environment Authority, as part of ongoing joint national efforts to contain and mitigate the environmental and other impacts of the incident.

The flights are supporting the movement and deployment of specialised personnel and equipment, while reconnaissance operations are helping assess conditions in the affected areas and support response efforts.
