Meeting held to enhance coordination in Al Amerat relief and shelter sector

Muscat: The Social Development Committee in Al Amerat held a meeting chaired by His Excellency Hamad bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Wali of Al Amerat and Chairman of the Committee, in the presence of the Committee members. His Excellency opened the meeting by welcoming the members and commending their efforts and active contributions.

The Committee hosted Dr Faisal bin Ali Al Ameri, Head of the Empowerment Department at the Ministry of Social Development and Assistant Coordinator of the Relief and Shelter Sector, who delivered a presentation on the sector’s mandates, roles and responsibilities, as well as the decision establishing the sector and its working team. He also reviewed updates to the National Relief and Shelter Plan.
Integrate efforts

The meeting also discussed ways to enhance coordination and preparedness among the relevant entities, charitable and volunteer teams, as well as to integrate efforts with civil society institutions. Thereby contributing to greater efficiency in joint efforts.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency the Wali of Al Amerat and Chairman of the Committee, expressed his thanks, recognitions and appreciation to all members and participants for their efforts and contributions.

He emphasised the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation and strengthening the integration of roles among various entities in a manner that serves the community and reinforces the effectiveness of social and voluntary work in the wilayat.
