Milan— Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) participated with a trade delegation in the 5th Arab-Italian Business Forum in Milan, the Italian Republic.
The participation aims to enhance the Omani private sector's presence in international economic forums, leverage opportunities to expand trade and investment cooperation, and build effective partnerships with Italian institutions and companies.
The delegation was headed by Eng. Said Ali Al Abri, Board Member of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the OCCI Branch in North Al Batinah Governorate.
Al Abri explained that selecting the Sultanate of Oman as the Guest of Honor at the forum represents a significant opportunity to introduce the economic and investment capabilities enjoyed by the Sultanate of Oman, the attractive business environment and supportive investment facilities it offers, as well as highlighting promising sectors and opportunities available to Italian investors.
He noted that through this participation, the Chamber seeks to strengthen direct communication channels between business owners in both countries, explore opportunities for establishing joint ventures and partnerships, support the growth of trade and investment exchange, and open broader horizons for private sector institutions to benefit from the economic potential available in both nations.
During the forum, a panel discussion titled "Italy and the Sultanate of Oman: Boosting Mutual Economic Growth Through Strategic Partnerships and Innovative Approaches" was held. It reviewed the investment environment in the Sultanate of Oman, alongside the opportunities and competitive advantages in special economic zones and free zones. The session also addressed empowering investment in the health sector in the Sultanate of Oman.
On the sidelines of the Omani delegation's participation in the forum, the delegation held a series of bilateral meetings with Italian companies specializing in infrastructure, aviation, pharmaceutical industries, and advanced technologies.
