
Muscat: If you’re heading to Qurum to watch the National Day celebrations and the naval parade, the Royal Oman Police has designated the following parking areas for the public:
Transport and Security Guidelines Issued
To ensure a smooth and safe experience for all attendees, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has issued specific guidelines regarding access and transportation to the parade venue.
The ROP confirmed that dedicated assembly points and shuttle buses will be provided to transport the public to and from the event location. These assembly points are designated as follows:
Qurum Park Front Parking and Marah Land Park Parking.
Qurum Park Back Parking (near the Children's Museum).
City Amphitheater Side Parking (inside
Qurum Natural Park).
"We inform all attendees arriving via various routes that dedicated buses will transport them from these assembly points to the parade site and back," the ROP stated, urging the public to adhere to all security and safety procedures while enjoying the accompanying events.
Traffic Closure in Effect
Prior to the parade, the General Secretariat for National Celebrations, in coordination with the ROP, announced a temporary traffic closure on a major route in Muscat.
The road closure extends from the Foreign Ministry Roundabout to the Qurum Beach Roundabout.
The closure, implemented for organizational and logistical preparations for the National Day festivities and the naval fleet parade, began on Tuesday, November 18, and will remain in effect until 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 23. The Secretariat has urged all road users to take alternative routes and strictly adhere to traffic regulations during this period.
